The Graceful Tam was originally knit for a girl named Grace. Her family had been very good to ours, especially to our teen and young adult children. One way I chose to show my thanks was to give them hats I had knit. This is the design that Grace chose.That was long before we began publishing my designs, but I did have some graph paper scribbles to help me remember what I had done, and pictures to remind me of the colors.
